A. (12 Feb 1850 - 14 Feb 1915) Margaret Ann
Morgan was born in Colburn, Canada, Feb. 12, 1850. When only six
months of age she went to live with her grandparents in the Second
concession of Sidney, Canada. Here she grew to womanhood and in
1869 was married to P.F. Simmons. They moved to the town of Eaton,
Clark County, Wis., three and one-half miles southeast of this city
in 1887, where they cleared a farm home in the forest and resided
there until moving to this city a short time ago. To this union
were born two children, S.A. Simmons and Mrs. May Eggett of this
city. Deceased having made her home with the latter a short time up
to her death. This family had always held respect of whom they made
acquaintances, and especially was Mrs. Simmons dear to those who
personally knew her generous and kindly disposition. Death occurred at
7:45 o’clock, Sunday evening, Feb. 14, 1915, from
pneumonia. Besides her two
children she leaves to mourn her departure from this earth, a
devoted husband, one brother, John Morgan, and a sister, Mrs.
Jennie Weeks, both of Chilton, Wis. Funeral services
were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the M.E. Church, Rev. W.J.
Willmarth officiating. Interment was made in the Greenwood
Cemetery.
