GREENWOOD GLEANER (Greenwood, Wis.) 11/18/1915 Kristianson, Anton
(12 Mar 1856 - 12 NOV 1915) Anton Kristianson,
a resident of this city (Greenwood, Clark County, Wis.) since 1891,
died at his home on Main St. Nov. 12, 1915. He was born in Askin,
Norway, March 12th, 1856, and when a boy went to Christiania, where
he learned the shoemaker’s trade. In 1891 he came to
Greenwood, where he has operated a shoe store and repair shop
since, and was considered an exert workman. He was a member of
the Modern Woodmen, which order he always took an active interest,
so it was only fitting that the last rites at the grave were
performed by fellow members. Deceased was
always a kind hearted man with man friends among old and young. Those left to
mourn his loss are his wife, Lena Kristiansen, one son, Alfred, one
daughter, Signe, and three step-daughters, Alice Lybeck, Selma
Bredeson, and Jennie Sungaard of Philadelphia. The funeral
services were conducted Sunday afternoon from the M.E. Church under
the auspices of the M.W.A., Rev. J.S. Willmarth officiating. Burial
was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
