died at her home south of this city (Greenwood, Clark County,
Wis.), Feb. 22nd, 1919, after an illness of nearly a year, the
cause of her death being tuberculosis. Emma Neville was
born in the town of Weston, Clark County, Wis., Jan. 1, 1875. On
Nov. 26, 1899 she was united in marriage to Robert H. Syth at
Neillsville, Wis. about a year ago she was taken sick and for seven
months had been taking treatment at a sanitarium at Stevens Point,
from where she returned home Feb. 14th. Deceased was a
woman of excellent character, and esteemed for her virtues. She was
a good neighbor and citizen in this community, and a kind and
loving wife and mother in the home. She leaves to
mourn her early demise her husband and four children, Arnold,
Beulah, John and Reugene, all at home. She is also survived by one
sister and four brothers, Mrs. John Small of Neillsville, Mike
Neville of Alberta, Canada, and James, Phil and Wm. Neville of
Neillsville, besides other relatives and a host of friends. The funeral was
held from the Catholic Church Wednesday, Feb. 26th, Rev. Achtlich
officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery.
