Katherine (9 Augl 1853 - 10 OCT 1921) The deceased,
Katherine Schwarze, formerly Zeisel, wife of John Schwarze, was
born in the town of Sheboygan Falls, Wis., Aug. 9, 1853. In 1874 she was
united in marriage to John Schwarze. They moved to Greenwood, Clark
County, Wis. in 1880, where they made their home on a farm until
two years ago, when they moved to this city. The union was
blessed with eleven children, five of which preceded their mother
in death. Three sisters and two brothers are also dead. Mrs.
Schwarze’s death came suddenly on Monday Oct. 10, 1921,
although she seemed in the enjoyment of her usual health on
Sunday. Those left to
mourn her loss are the husband and six children, Wm. Of Greenwood;
Edwin of the town of Warner; Mrs. Wm. Abel of the town of Hendren;
Mrs. Robert Raatz of Columbus; Alfred of the town of Warner and
Arthur on the old homestead west of Greenwood. She is also survived
by 18 grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Williams of
Oakland, Calif. The age of the
deceased was 68 years, 2 months and 1 day at the time of her
death. Funeral services
were held last Thursday afternoon, Rev. O.J. Vriesen
officiating. Those who were
here from away to attend the funeral were: Mrs. Joe Zeisel of
Sheboygan; Fred Bauman of Plymouth; Robert Sheriff of Plymouth and
Mrs. Robert Raatz of Columbus.
