Dohogne was born in France, Feb. 12, 1840 and entered into rest
Nov. 13, 1923. At the age of 15
she came to America and lived in Cape Girardeau, Mo., with her
parents until 1859, when she was united in marriage to Philip
Rossman. To this union six
sons and three daughters were born. Five sons and three daughters
still survive. Ten years after
her marriage she moved to Plymouth, Wis. Here, while her husband
served hi country, she took upon herself the burden of doing for
her family. In 1871, with her
husband and children, she came to Clark County, Wis., which at that
time was a vast wilderness, and took up pioneer life, standing
should to shoulder with her husband in all the hardships that come
to the pioneer. The loss of a
devoted husband and a fond father in 1891, was the great sorrow of
her life. Her life’s
work is ended and she has indeed earned the reward of the
faithful. Deceased is
survived by the following children: John Rossman, Duluth, Minn.;
Adolph Rossman, Evansville, Wis.; Mabel Rossman, Chicago, Ill.;
Mrs. Lucy Kees, Chicago, Ill.; Ed Rossman, Chicago, Ill.; Ira
Rossman, Waupun, Wis.; Mrs. Mary Moulton, Zion City, Ill. and E.J.
Rossman, Wilmington, Cal. With the exception of E.J. Rossman, the
children were all here for the funeral. She is also
survived by two sisters and one brother. Besides the
children who were here for the funeral, there were the following:
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Irvine of Owen; Mrs. Brown of Loyal; Mrs. Adolph
Rossman of Evansville; Mrs. Ed Rossman and Mrs. Pfunder of Chicago.

Not born in France, she was born in Frankerchamps, Belgium.
Her sister, Marie-Josephine Dohogne (20 March 1832-23 June 1928)
Wed Philip Meuller (Miller) was also from Frankerchamps, Belg., not
France as some list her. Moved to Wisconsin. I have the Church records
