Peterson was born in Greenwood, Clark County, Wis. on Feb. 16, 1890
and passed away in Benton Harbor, Mich. on Feb. 15, 1923, at the
age of 32 years, 11 months and 29 days. She was united in marriage
to Mr. J.E. Peterson of Benton Harbor, Mich. on July 7th, 1920. Departed leaves to
mourn her loss her husband, two step-daughters, Elizabeth and
Catherine, a mother, Mrs. S.B. Johnson, one brother, Leonard
Johnson, five sisters, Mrs. Hubble, Mrs. P.M. Johnson, Mrs. D.
Gustafson, Mrs. Sigward Johnson and Serena Johnson, also a host of
friends and relatives. Deceased died from
heart trouble and anemia of which she had been suffering from for
the last year or more, but she was always very patient and
cheerful. Helga was a kind and loving wife and made a great many
friends in her new home in Michigan who will miss her very much, as
well as her many friends at Greenwood. Funeral services
were held at the Swedish Lutheran Church at St. Joe Sunday
afternoon, Feb. 18th. The remains were brought to her old home at
Greenwood, Wis. for burial.. Services at the Trondjhem Church were
Wednesday Feb. 21st, Rev. Aaberg officiating. The remains were laid
to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
