AUG 1849 - 20 Feb 1923) Julia A Thompson
was born in Milwaukee County, Wis. Aug. 9, 1849, and died at
Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., Feb. 20, 1923. She was in apparently
good health until two weeks before her death, when she was taken
sick with the "flu", which caused her death. She was married to
George J. Brown of Juneau Co., Wis. March 10, 1867. Mr. Brown died
Aug. 7, 1915. She was the mother of eight children, two of them
having gone before her. She leaves to
mourn her death one sister, Mrs. E. Crowl of Minneapolis, one
daughter, Mrs. J.A. Short of Granton, and five sons, Ralph P. in
the west, Norman O., Joseph E., Bert B., and Hubert H. Brown, and
nine grandchildren, all of Greenwood. Deceased was a
kind and loving mother and will be greatly missed. Funeral services
were held at the home last Friday afternoon and the body was laid
to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
