Amundsen was born at Hammar, Norway, Feb. 25, 1871. In the year 1900
she was united in marriage to Emil Amundsen at Christiania, Norway.
Four children were born to this union, one son, Charles, and three
daughters, Anna, Amanda and Jennie. She and her
husband came to this country in 1900 and resided at East Moline,
Ill. until eight years ago, when they moved onto their farm in the
town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis. Deceased was taken
to the Washington Park Hospital at Chicago, Ill., July 7, 1925 for
treatment of Toxic Goiter, but died there Tuesday evening July 21,
1925. At the time of her
death she was 54 years, 4 months and 26 days of age. She is survived by
her husband, one son and three daughters. Her father and mother and
two brothers and one sister residing in Norway are also living. Funeral services
were held from the United Lutheran Church last Saturday afternoon,
Rev. M.K. Aaberg officiating. The body was laid to rest in the
Greenwood Cemetery.
