APR 1877 - 15 Dec 1957) Beginning Thursday
morning, friends May call at the Hill Funeral home, where funeral
services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. I.J. Tanner,
pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, will officiate.
Burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Barr was born
April 28, 1977, in Manchester, Iowa and married Mary Boehm June 19,
1904, in Strawberry Point, Iowa. He attended schools in that state
and as a young man of 19 years he went to Alaska during the gold
rush there. After his return
and marriage, he and Mrs. Barr operated a …(some of my copy
was cut off) Besides his wife,
he leaves four sons and three daughters, Mrs. Paul (Frances) Marg,
Eau Claire; Mrs. Leonard (Edna) Paulson, Spokane Wash.; David,
Pacific, Calif.; Thomas, Cameron; and Fred, Jake and Mrs. Ervin
(Anna Fay) Heck, all of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis. Fourteen
grandchildren and one great-granddaughter also survive. He was
preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph, and by one brother and
one sister.
