(2 Augl 1911 - 7 Jan 1929) Cleon Otto Geisler
was born Aug. 2, 1911, at Genesco, Ill., and passed away Jan. 7,
1929, aged 17 years, 5 months and 5 days. He leaves to mourn, his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Geisler, two sisters, Leola and Eileen,
his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Geisler of Greenwood and Mr.
and Mrs. George Howard of the Town of Grant, and a host of other
relatives. Buddy, as he was
known to everyone, was afflicted with a disease of the muscles for
which there was no cure, he only being able to walk until 7 years
of age. The last 10 years of his life were spent in a wheel chair.
On Oct. 15, he suffered an attack of heart trouble from which he
gradually grew weaker. He was of a sunny disposition, always
cheerful and thoughtful of others and will be greatly missed. Funeral services
were held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock,
Rev. D.S. Householder of the M.E. Church officiating. Those from
away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Howard and
Alva Howard of Granton, Mrs. Ed Selves, Mr. Adolph Lichte, Laura
and Gerhardt Lichte of Neillsville and Leola Geisler of Chicago.
