AUG 1875 - 5 Augl 1928) Mrs. Clara Blades
lived about six miles northwest of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis..
She was afflicted with cancer, which caused her death. For a little
more than four months she was quite weak, and more or less confined
to the house. She became weaker and weaker as the end drew on. The
end came on Sunday night Aug. 5, 1928, at about 11:30 o’clock
when she quietly slipped from the mortal body. At the time of her
death she lacked only a few days of being fifty three years of
age. Mrs. Clara Blades
was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schmidt. She was born Aug.
9, 1875 in Wisconsin. In 1903 she was married to Mr. Henry Blades.
In 1916 Mr. Blades passed away. Mrs. Clara Blades leaves behind,
her father and mother, Mr. And Mrs. Peter Schmidt, a brother George
Schmidt of Chicago, a sister, Mrs. J.W. Perkins of Kent, Wash., and
a nephew, Foster G. Schmidt of Chicago. The funeral
services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 5. The service at the home
began about 12:30 P.M. and at the West Beaver Chapel a little
before 1:00 o’clock. The body was interred in the Greenwood
Cemetery, Pastor Arnold J. Borchardt conducted the services.
