(21 Jan 1845 - 15 Jul 1928) George Schirmer,
so of Andraes and Eva Schirmer, was born in Windheim, Germany, Jan.
21, 1845 and died at the hospital at Madison, July 15, 1928, having
reached the age of 83 years, 5 months and 24 days. While still in his
native country, he was married to Margaret Fedder, and came to this
country in 1885. They lived for a short time in Chicago then moved
to Jefferson, Wis. In 1904 they moved to Clark County, Wis. and
settled on a farm in the town of Eaton, where they resided up to
the time of their deaths. His wife, Margaret preceded him in death,
passing away on Jan. 27, 1928. He leaves to
mourn, three sons and three daughters from this marriage and one
son by a former marriage. Funeral services
were held from the local Methodist Church, Rev. A.B. Dyre
officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
