(13 NOV 1854 - 28 Sep 1933) Mrs. Julius Halle
died at her home in the town of Eaton, Clark County, Wis., Thursday
evening, Sept. 28, 1933. Johanna Alvina
Koehler was born at Gradheim near, Weimar, Germany, Nov. 13, 1854.
She was united in marriage to Julius Halle in 1879. They came to
the United States with their family in 1894, locating at Plymouth,
Wis. In 1908 they came to Greenwood, Clark County. For a time they
were members of the Globe Lutheran Church. She is survived by
her husband, Julius Halle and five children, Hugo, Christie; Bruno,
Fond du Lac; Karl and Fred at home; and Lena, Mrs. Ed Groke,
Milwaukee. One daughter, Helen, preceded her in death. There are
also 32 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and a host of
friends. One son E. Arno, died during the World War and is buried
in Greenwood and one daughter, Helen, died last May. Funeral services
were held from the local Reformed Church Monday afternoon, Rev.
E.G. Pfeiffer officiating. The body was laid to rest in the
Greenwood Cemetery.
