Schmidt, Peter (3 SEP 1851 - 25 Jan 1934)

Peter Schmidt passed away at his farm home in the Town of Beaver, Clark County, Wis., Thursday, Jan. 25, 1934.

Deceased was born at Richfield, Wis., Sep 3, 1851, and was therefore 82 years, 4 months and 22 days old.

In 1872 he was united in marriage to Sophia Baumgartner. To this union were born four children, one sons and three daughters. His wife and three children preceded him in death, Mrs. Schmidt died Feb. 16, 1930, one daughter died when still a baby, another daughter, Mrs. Clara Blades, died Aug. 5, 2928, and a son George died Aug. 19, 1928.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rose Perkins of Kent, Wash., and one grandson, Foster Schmidt.

Mr. Schmidt came to Greenwood, Clark County in Oct. 1910 and settled on a farm northeast of this city. He was a kind and loving husband and father and his loss will be keenly felt by the remaining relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the West Beaver Chapel Sunday afternoon, Jan. 25, at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. E.G. Pfeiffer officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
