County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 04/29/1920 Fulwiler, Mary (28
APR 1842 - 24 Apr 1920) Last Saturday
afternoon the death Angel came and took from our midst our beloved
mother, Mrs. Mary Fulwiler. She passed peacefully away after a
short illness, leakage of the heart seemed to be the cause of her
death. She had attained the age of 77 years, 11 months and 26 days.
She first saw the light of day in Cleveland, Ohio, April 28th, 1842
and with her parents came to Wisconsin the same year and was a
resident in Washington Co. until 1884. On Jan.16, 1862 she was
married to Israel Fulwiler, and on Jan. 9th, 1884 they came to
Clark County, Wis., where they continued farming. To their union
was born 8 children, 7 sons and 1 daughter. Four sons and the
daughter survive her. They are George of Marshfield, Amos of the
town of York, William of Niagara, Edward of Loyal, Edolph of
Milwaukee, Core Elizabeth of Marshfield. She also leaves a brother
of Medford, Oregon., and a sister of Faribault, Minn. Her husband
preceded her in death ? years ago. She was a kind generous woman,
always having the welfare of her family at heart, and made many
friends by her kindly ways and endeared herself to all with whom
she came in contact. Her funeral took place Tuesday afternoon from
the M.E. Church at York Center, Rev. J.H. Chatterson officiating.
