DEC 1870 - 15 May 1920) Rudolph Kueng, a
farmer living in the northeast part of Pine Valley, died at his
home Saturday May 15, 1920, aged 49 years, 5 months and 6 days. He
was born in Switzerland and came to this country when he was 21
years of age and settled in Monroe Co. He was married at
Blanchardville, Wis., March 29th, 1899 to Miss Rosa Schenk. They
lived for a time in Monroe Co., later moving to Cumberland and
after looking about in other places for a desirable home, the came
to Clark County, Wis. about 8 years ago, buying the Radke farm in
Pine Valley. About a year and a half ago he had the flu, from which
he never fully recovered. He suffered a great deal, but was patient
through all his long sickness. He was a man of a fine type,
interested in good farming, will to do anything he could for the
good of the community and for his adopted country. His fairness and
honesty and his kindly, religious traits won for him the respect of
all who knew him. He leaves his wife
and three children, Arnold, Arthur and Laura are living at
home. The funeral was
held Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational Church, Rev. G.W.
Longenecker officiating.
