Kueng, Rudolph (9 DEC 1870 - 15 May 1920)

Rudolph Kueng, a farmer living in the northeast part of Pine Valley, died at his home Saturday May 15, 1920, aged 49 years, 5 months and 6 days. He was born in Switzerland and came to this country when he was 21 years of age and settled in Monroe Co. He was married at Blanchardville, Wis., March 29th, 1899 to Miss Rosa Schenk. They lived for a time in Monroe Co., later moving to Cumberland and after looking about in other places for a desirable home, the came to Clark County, Wis. about 8 years ago, buying the Radke farm in Pine Valley. About a year and a half ago he had the flu, from which he never fully recovered. He suffered a great deal, but was patient through all his long sickness. He was a man of a fine type, interested in good farming, will to do anything he could for the good of the community and for his adopted country. His fairness and honesty and his kindly, religious traits won for him the respect of all who knew him.

He leaves his wife and three children, Arnold, Arthur and Laura are living at home.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational Church, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating.
