S. (4 Jul 1850 - 10 Jul 1920) Edward S. Cummings
died Saturday night July 10, 1920, death resulting from a stroke of
paralysis which came a few days previous. Mr. Cummings was
born at St. Joe, Mo., July 4th, 1850. He came to Clark County, Wis.
about 1864, and for years followed the work of cooking in lumber
camps, being considered an expert cook. In 1881 he was married to
Miss Mary Lynch, who survives him. He leaves one daughter, Miss
Gertrude Cummings of this city. He leaves also several brothers and
sisters, being one of 12 children, a number of whom are living in
various states. Mr. Cummings was a
man of industry and honesty, and although for several years past
his health was poor, he died what he could at all times. The funeral was
held at the home Tuesday afternoon, Rev. L.B. Colman officiating.
