Davis, Alice (1898? - 16 Augl 1920)
The death of Alice, wife of Gerald Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Schwamb of Tioga, Clark County, Wis., occurred at the hospital at Colraine, Minn., Aug. 16, 1920. Deceased was born near Tioga and was 22 years of age. Two years ago she was married and went with her husband to live in Northern Minnesota. In March last a son was born to them, since which time the mother’s health has been failing, and all the efforts made to restore her to strength failed. She was a woman of lovely character and disposition. All who knew her loved her for her good qualities. Her death is particularly sad as she leaves a motherless babe, five months old. Her husband, father, mother, brother, Arthur Schwamb and two sisters, Mamie Schwamb and Mrs. Lula Halbreador are left to mourn her death. The funeral was held at the parents home at Tioga Aug. 19.

Thank you for
posting this obit. I could not find the name of Gerald's first
wife, but knew his son, Sherman, age 10, was living with Geralds
parents, John and Bessie Davis in the 1930 Fremont, Clark, WI
Census. Thank you again
