Gall, Amelia (16 MAY 1847 - 4 Sep 1920)

Mrs. Amelia Gall died at her home in Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. Sept. 4, 1920, aged 73 years, 3 months and 19 days. Her maiden name was Amelia Emma Wibec. She was married to Joseph Gall and for a time lived in the south part of the state, later moving to the town of Weston, where she lived 30 years on their farm. Mr. Gall died 18 years ago. A few years ago she moved to Neillsville. She was a hard working woman, looking well after the interests of her home and family, a kind mother and a good neighbor. She leaves to mourn her death 7 sons: Joe, Frank and Theodore of Neillsville, William of Loyal, Ed of Park Falls, Mike of Minneapolis and Alvin of Janesville; four daughters: Mrs. Fred Bruley and Mrs. Thos. Croker of Neillsville, Mrs. Edward Galt of Grant and Mrs. Arthur Schwamb of Tioga, also 25 grandchildren. One son died when young, and Otto was killed 5 years ago. She leaves also two sisters and a brother.

Six of the sons acted as pallbearers at the funeral which was held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sept. 7.

Those from away attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Gall and Mrs. Otto Gall, Minneapolis; Alvin Gall, Janesville; Edward Gall, Park Falls, Mrs. Henry Ziegler, Wausau, John and Christ Gall, West Bend.
