OCT 1857 - 3 Dec 1920) Mrs. R.L. Rouse
died at her home in Columbia, Clark County, Wis., Dec. 3rd, 1920 at
8:20 a.m., aged 53 years, 1 month and 29 days. She was born in
Madison, Virginia, Oct. 5, 1867, and was married to Mr. R.L. Rouse
Dec. 27th, 1883. To them were born three sons and six daughters:
Clarence E. Rouse of Abbotsford, Ernest Rouse and Robert Rouse of
Columbia, Mrs. Ruth Blankenblicker of Milwaukee, Mrs. Roy Iverson
of Columbia, Mrs. Legare Apfel of Neillsville and Dorothy and
Margaret at home, also the oldest daughter Emily, who attended the
mother during her long illness. Drs. Rouse joined
the Bapitst Church in Virginia, in 1853 and lived an honest,
consistent Christian life. She was a noble example to her children
who will "rise up and call her blessed." All her life she
has shown forth the beauty of her faith in good and kindly
deeds. The funeral was
held at the home Monday, Rev. Longenecker officiating, burial
taking place in the Neillsville Cemetery.
