County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 12/23/1920 Wells, Jeanette
(1861 - 18 Dec 1920) Mrs. Berton Wells
died at her home in Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., Dec. 18th,
1920, aged 59 years. She was born Jenette Birdsell, at Neosho, Wis.
In 1906 she was united in marriage with Berton Wells at Marshfield
and came here to reside, living on the farm three miles west of the
city. Four years ago they sold the farm and moved to the home where
she passed away. For many years she was a faithful member of the
W.R.C., twice serving as President. She also held other offices and
was at one time State Secretary. She was in every way a most worthy
woman. Her husband who
has so faithfully but tenderly cared for her is left very lonely,
and has the sympathy of a wide circle of friends. She left also one
sister, Mrs. C.M. Moody. The funeral was
held Monday afternoon at the home, Rev. Kerr officiating.
