MAY 1872 - 15 Jan 1921) August Gluch died
at Marshfield Hospital Saturday evening, Jan. 15, 1921. His death
resulted from an operation for appendicitis the Monday before. Deceased was born
in the town of Grant, Clark County, Wis., May 14, 1872. He grew to
manhood there on his father’s farm and was married Oct. 2,
1901 to Frieda Loeffler, who survives him. They lived ten years on
their farm in Grant, and ten years ago moved to Neillsville, where
for a time he was in a confectionery and restaurant business. He
was an industrious man and pleasant in manner, a kind husband and
father and an obliging neighbor. He leaves his wife
and four children: Emma, Aleda, Edna and Oscar, all at home, except
Aleda, who is temporarily a student at Wausau Business College. He
leaves also his mother, Mrs. Mary Gluch, three brothers, Dan,
Herman and John, all of Grant and Mrs. Archie Howard in York. The funeral will
be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the house and 2 o’clock
at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
