County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 04/07/1921 Draper, Mrs.
Horace (1830 - 27 Mar 1921) Mrs. Horace
Draper, one of the oldest residents of Clark County, Wis., died at
her home in Loyal, Wis. at the closing hour of Easter Sunday, March
17, 1921, in the ninetieth year of her age. She was born in New
York state. In 1866 she was married to Horace Draper in Ohio, and
the next year they came to Fond du Lac Co., Wis., and in 1872 they
came to Loyal, settling on a farm which was her home until her
death. She was educated at Oberlin College and taught school. For
75 years she was an active and consistent member of the M.E.
Church. She was a quiet but efficient worker on all good causes all
her life. Her mind was keen and her memory good, possessing a store
of recollections of local and national events, unusual in one of
her age. She leaves her aged husband, one son, Fred W. Draper, and
one granddaughter, Bernice Draper, to mourn her death.
