(1839? - Apr 1921) Philip Brother,
who returned last week from the Veteran’s Home at Waupaca,
died suddenly at the home of a neighbor in the town of Levis, Clark
County, Wis., Mr. Brother having gone down there to look after his
farm. Mr. Brother came
up here from Grant Co. about 20 years ago and settled in Levis.
Several years ago his wife died and he has rented his farm for some
time, living in Neillsville and other places. He was a veteran of
the Civil War, and a genial, pleasant man to meet. He was about 81
years old at the time of his death. He leaves a son,
Earl, two daughters, Miss Emma Brother and Mrs. Zella Brookings in
Grant Co. and one son in the west. The remains will
be taken to Lancaster in Grant Co. for burial.
