(1838? - 10 Apr 1921) Mrs. Levi Archer
died at her home in Merrillan Sunday, April 10, 1921, aged 82
years. She was born in Allegheny Co, N.Y., her maiden name being
Rosila Straight. She was married to Mr. Archer at Hatfield and
moved to their farm south of Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., 47
years ago. There Mr. Archer died 32 years ago and after living for
a time on the farm, she moved to Neillsville, and later to
Merrillan, living a part of the time there and a part with her son,
Frank in Racine. She is the last of a large family, twelve brothers
and sisters. Mrs. Archer was a lady of culture and refinement. In
the days of her health and strength, she was very helpful in the
community in every way. She leaves one son, Frank Archer, six
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were
held at Merrillan Tuesday, the remains being brought here for
burial in the Neillsville Cemetery beside her husband.
