was born Aug. 16, 1895. He was suddenly taken ill on Friday evening
and was taken to the Sacred Heart Hospital at Eau Claire,
undergoing an operation Monday morning for obstruction of the
bowels. He survived the operation, but his condition was so serious
he passed away on Tuesday morning April 19, 1921 at 3:45. August
was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Resong of this city
(Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.), and was a capable and
industrious young man and well liked by all who knew him. He grew
to young manhood here and attended the Catholic School, later he
attended the University at Madison, taking the Dairy Course, after
which he was engaged in cheese making for several years. He was united in
marriage to Emma Moser of Columbia, Clark County, Wis., Nov. 14,
1916, making their home at Fairchild for a short time. In May 1917
he accepted a position at the Neillsville Condensery, where he was
employed until the time of his death. He is survived by his wife,
father and mother, sisters and brothers: Mrs. Markus Hoesly Jr., of
Neillsville; Mrs. Henry Hoesly of Sheboygan; Marie, Joseph, John
and Albert at home. Those who were her from away were Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Hoesly and daughter, Mr. Mike Lepke of Madison, Mrs. John
Hubing and Mr. and Mrs. F. Hafner of Loyal, Mr. nad Mrs. John Greub
and son, Mrs. H. Reider and Mr. R. Zimmerman of Humbird, Mrs. M.
Haas of St. Paul and many of his friends from Columbia. Funeral
services were held at St. Mary’s Church, Rev. P.F. Weber
officiating. Interment was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
