County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 04/01/1920 Kirkham, Vera
(Marriage - 29 Mar 1920) Last Tuesday
evening a quiet wedding took place at the home of Mrs. Alice
Kirkham, when her daughter Miss Vera, was united in marriage to Mr.
Wallace O. Asplin of Sioux City, Iowa, Rev. Paul MacKinney of the
Baptist Church performing the ceremony. Miss Emma Kudich was
bridesmaid and Mr. Ray Kirkham best man. Only the immediate family
and a few invited friends were present. Mr. Asplin is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Asplin of Neillsville, Clark County,
Wis., former residents of this vicinity, and an employee of the
Great Northern Railroad. He enlisted in the late war with Europe
and served his country seventeen months, going overseas and being
engaged a part of the time in engineer work. Miss Kirkham is a
highly esteemed young lady of our city and her many friends join in
wishing them a long and happy life. (Augusta Eagle-Times)
