County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 05/06/1920 Baur, Augusta
(Marriage - 3 May 1920) Monday morning May
3rd, 1920, Mr. Matt Mueller and Miss Augusta Baur, both of
Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., were married at st. Mary’s
Church, Rev. P. Weber officiating. The groom was attended by John
Marx, Jr., and Miss Theresa Mueller, the groom’s sister,
acted as bridesmaid, and Miss Helen Mueller, another sister, was
maid of honor. The bride wore a dress of satin and georgette and
carried a bouquet of white and yellow roses and pink sweet peas;
the bridesmaid wore a dress of pale green organdy and the maid of
honor wore yellow organdy. The groom is one
of Neillsville’s most substantial young men and has always
borne a most excellent character. He made a splendid record as a
soldier in the War and was severely wounded. While his wound was
healing and he was regaining his strength he took up a course in
sheet metal work at the state University and will soon complete the
course. The bride is the
daughter of Mrs. Jos. Fuchs and a young lady of many fine
qualities, quiet and ladylike in manner and much liked by all who
know her. The young couple
will live in Madison until the groom has completed his
schooling. We join in wishing
them success and happiness.
