County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 06/24/1920 Imig, Amelia
(Marriage - 19 JUN 1920) Miss Amelia Imig
of this city (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) and Mr. S.H. Maxson
of Oak Park, Ill., were quietly married Saturday, June 19, 1920, at
the home of her mother, Mrs. H. Imig, Rev. L.B. Colman
officiating. The bride is a
lady who has contributed in many ways to the goo of this community;
as a music teacher she was competent and conscientious and many of
our young people owe their appreciation for music and their
proficiency in it to her faithful instructions. Her work in church
and Sunday school has been equally as helpful and on all kinds of
occasions from social affairs to funerals, her services were
considered almost indispensable. The groom is an
engineer on the Northwestern line between Chicago and New butler,
and has a fine home in Oak Park. He is said to be a man of high
character. The wedding had in it a chapter of romance, as the bride
and groom were acquainted and great friends when they were very
young. They went
immediately to the groom’s home at Oak Park and began
housekeeping at once. We join with their
many Neillsville friends in best wishes for their happiness and
prosperity.
