Lucas, Mary (Marriage - 20 Jul 1920)
Mrs. Mary Lucas and Mr. Joseph Kubat, two of the town of York, Clark County, Wis., well known residents, were married in St. Bathasar’s Church at Loyal, Wis., Tuesday July 20th, 1920, Rev. Jos. F. Stenz officiating. The happy pair were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kubat of the town of York (brother and sister-in-law of the groom). The groom is a successful and substantial town of York farmer, who some years since owned and operated a meat market in Neillsville, and is favorable known there. The newlyweds celebrated the happy event of their marriage with a delicious supper and social dancing party at the groom’s home, and at which all their near neighbors and close friends were in attendance on the night of July 20th. The bride is a competent house keeper and a woman of excellent character, who will prove a good help mate to the man who has so happily won and wed her. We join with their many friends is wishing them the success and happiness they are so deserving. (Granton News)
