County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 10/28/1920 Irish, Bernice
(Marriage - 23 OCT 1920) Mr. Hubert Carter
and Miss Bernice Irish were married Oct. 23, 1920, at the home of
Rev. G.W. Longenecker who performed the ceremony. The groom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Carter of the town of Washburn, Clark
County, Wis., where he was born and grew to manhood. He is a young
man of fine character and manly in every way. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Irish of the town of Washburn.
She is a goon young lady of exceptionally good qualities, and much
liked by all who know her. The Editor feels a
personal interest in the welfare and happiness of this young
couple. For nearly ten months the groom was a member of our family
and took charge of the work on the farm, looking after its
interests faithfully and well until he enlisted in the service of
his country, where he also made a good record. We look upon him
as one of our boys; and to him and his bonnie bride we offer our
most hearty good wishes.
