County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 03/31/1921 Darling, Virginia
R. (Marriage - 28 Mar 1921) Miss Virginia Ruth
Darling and Mr. Verne John Smith were married March 28, 1921, at
the M.E. Parsonage, Rev. W.T. Scott officiating. They were attended
by Miss Mae Leffingwell and Mr. Edward Nourse. The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Darling of this city (Neillsville,
Clark County, Wis.). She was born and brought up here, attended the
Neillsville schools and has many friends among our young people.
The groom lives at Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., and is said to
be, by those boys who know him, an agreeable young man of good
habits. The young couple
will live at Greenwood. We join in wishing them a happy life. Neillsville
Methodist Church Records show that Virginia Darling, the daughter
of Merrill & Ellen, was baptized by L. B. Colman in
Neillsville, 15-Jun-1915, at the age of 11.
