County Republican & Press (Neillsville, Wis.) 07/07/1921 Bunkleman,
Katherine P. (Marriage - 30 JUN 1921) Mr. Brule G.
Carleson and Miss Katherine Pauline Bunkleman were married at the
home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bunkleman in
Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. Thursday evening, June 30, 1921,
Rev. Geo. W. Longenecker performing the ceremony. The bride was
dressed in white georgette and carried a shower bouquet of pink
roses. The rooms were decorated in pink and white roses, carnations
and sweet peas being used in the decorations. A beautiful arch, a
real bower of flowers, canopied the bridal party during the
ceremony. The groom was attended by Mr. Ralph Bunkleman, and Miss
Beatrice Bruley, the groom’s cousin, was bridesmaid. The
wedding march was played on the Victrola. The ring ceremony was
used. The arrangements, the decorations and settings, and above all
the fine young couple themselves, made it a most pretty
wedding. The groom lived
most of his life in St. Paul, where he grew to manhood, but was
often a visitor here at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Jos. Bruley, and seemed almost like one of the home boys. For some
time past he has been interested in an automobile repair business
at New Rockford, N.D. He is a young man of industry and excellent
character and has a host of friends among the young people
here. The bride grew to
womanhood here, graduated from Neillsville High School and taught
school successfully in this vicinity and in Waupaca Co. She is a
young lady of lovely personality, womanly qualities and high
ideals. After the
ceremony, a bountiful wedding supper was served and the young
couple took the train for St. Paul and Minneapolis. After a brief
visit there, they will go to New Rockford to begin life in their
new home. The good wishes of
very many Neillsville friends go with them. The guests from
away who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. H.G. Ruesink of
Waupaca, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Buddenhagen of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs.
A.J. Flint and Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Buck of Oshkosh, and Mrs. L.M.
Motz of Minneapolis.
