Gress, Robert (16 FEB 1931 - 14 Sep 2002)

Robert A. Gress, 71, Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., died on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at the Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville. No funeral services were held.

Robert Arthur Gress was born on Feb. 16, 1931, in Owen, to Arthur and Viva (nee Raether) Gress. He and his brother, Lowell, were co-owners of the Gress Wrecking Yard in Neillsville for 42 years.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen; two sons, Greg (Diane) Gress, Bloomington, Minn., and Tyler Gress, Neillsville; one daughter, Pam (Jan) Pierce, Neillsville; five grandchildren, Justin (Micki) Pierce, Ian Pierce, Aaron Pierce, Alissa Gress and Rachel Gress; one great-granddaughter, Maddi Pierce; his mother, Viva Gress, Neillsville; his brother, Lowell Gress, Neillsville; and a nephew, Scott (Sharon) Gress, Marshfield. Preceding him in death were his father, Art; and a nephew, Donald.

The Gesche Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements.
