Luchterhand, Gary L. (30 Apr 1954 - 15 OCT 2002)

Gary L. Luchterhand, 48, Spencer, Wis. died on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002, as a result of an accident on his farm. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the First Presbyterian Church, Marshfield. The Rev. Jeannette Hickman officiated. Burial was in the Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Pall-bearers were Bill Short, Jim Bauer, Kirk Haslow, Paul Bugar Jr., Darin Bremmer, Dan Schecklman, Mick Weyhmiller and Tom Dankemeyer.

Gary Lee Luchterhand was born on April 30, 1954, in Neillsville, to Gerald and LaVada (nee Dankemeyer) Luchterhand. He was raised on a farm and educated in Loyal, graduating from Loyal High School in 1972. He continued to farm after school. He married Elma Rol on Sept. 17, 1983, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. He farmed his entire life and was operating Elusive Hill Dairy Farm at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife, Elma; four children, Aaron, Jeremy, Max and Rachael, all at home; his mother and stepfather, LaVada (Delbert) Langreck, Loyal; two sisters, Paula (Duane) Brey, Loyal, and Renee (Dennis) Hinrichsen, Abbotsford; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death was his father, Gerald Luchterhand, in 1981.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
