(21 Mar 1972 - 13 NOV 2002) Brent T. Hubbard,
30, Withee, Clark County, Wis., died on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002,
at his parents’ farm in the town of Longwood, from injuries
sustained in a farm accident. A Mass of Christian Burial was held
at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 16, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church,
Owen. The Rev. Al Jakubowski officiated. Burial was in Riverside
Cemetery, Withee. Pallbearers were Matt Thorpe, R.J. Schriefer,
Dean Schmelzer, Al Lowrey, Mark Stoddard and Dennis Eloranta. Brent Thomas
Hubbard was born on May 21, 1972, in Stanley, to Robert and Carol
(nee Gutowski) Hubbard. He received his early education at Holy
Rosary Catholic School and graduated from Owen-Withee High School
in 1991. After graduation, he helped on the family farm and rented
another farm in the town of Longwood. He later owned and operated a
dairy farm in the town of Withee for five years. At the time of his
death, he was employed at the Eloranta farm, Owen. He married
Candace "Candy" Stoddard on Dec. 15, 2001, at Holy Rosary Church.
He was a member of the Marian Council, Knights of Columbus, and the
O-W Jaycees. His interests included bowling and his family and
children. Survivors include
his wife, Candace Hubbard, Withee; two stepdaughters, Brittany
O’Neill and Trista Shoemaker; two sons, Derek Hubbard and
Justin Hubbard; his parents, Bob and Carol Hubbard, Withee; six
sisters, Michele (Matt) Thorpe, Ellendale, N.D., Amy Hubbard,
Colfax, Bobbie Hubbard, Eau Claire, Cheryl Hubbard, Eau Claire,
Anita Hubbard, Elk Mound, and Kim Hubbard, Withee; two brothers,
Kurt Hubbard, Withee, and Peter Hubbard, Withee; his paternal
grandmother, Ella Hubbard, Thorp; and in-laws Robert Stoddard,
Black River Falls, and Betty Stoddard, Neillsville. Preceding him in
death were one sister, Karen Hubbard, on Jan. 30, 2002; one niece,
Julianna Hubbard, on Feb. 3, 2002; his paternal grandfather, Allen
Hubbard; and his maternal grandparents, Alex and Julia
Gutowski. Maurina Funeral
