Glasby, 95, formerly of Curtiss, Clark County, Wis., died on
Thursday, Nov. 14, 2002, at the Colonial Center, Colby. Funeral
services were held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 18, at Community
Funeral Home, Colby. The Rev. Kenneth A. Dix officiated. Burial was
in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, North Green Grove. Margaret May
Glasby was born on April 14, 1907, in Milwaukee, to William and
Emma (nee Moldenhauer) Glasby. As a young child, she moved with her
family to a farm near Curtiss. She attended Woodland School. She
moved to Chicago and worked for Andes Candies before moving back to
Curtiss to help on the family farm until her retirement. She then
moved to Marshfield where she resided until becoming a resident of
the Colonial Center. Survivors include
three sisters, Violet Draheim, Owen, Virginia Hebert, Marshfield,
and Mary Jane Hebert, Spencer; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in
death were her parents; two brothers, William Glasby and Paul
Glasby; and one sister, Lorraine Thompson. Community Funeral
Home, Colby, assisted the family with arrangements.
