Schulz, Maxine E. (6 Sep 1938 - 27 Dec 2002)
Maxine E. Schulz, 64, Loyal, died on Friday, Dec. 27, 2002, at her home in the town of Beaver. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal. The Rev. Terri Blomberg officiated.
Maxine Eileen Grotjahn was born on Sept. 6, 1938, in Fountain City, to Carlos and Leona (nee Buchholtz) Grotjahn. She was raised and educated in Fountain City, and graduated from Fountain City High School. She moved to the Loyal area in 1976, where she farmed. She also worked at Fleet Farm, Marshfield, until the time of her death. She drove school bus in the Loyal and Greenwood school districts for many years. She was a member of the Loyal American Legion Auxiliary. Her interests included gardening, crocheting, bowling, shooting pool, dancing and playing horseshoes.
Survivors include four children, Nancy Daly, Milwaukee, Peggy (Tom Briski) Morales, Spencer, Ronald (Kim) Daly, Marshfield, and Debra Mitchell, Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Palma Hoge, California, Donna Ferguson, Oklahoma, Carol (Dave) Kriescher, West Allis, and Alita (Wayne) Steinberg, Oconomowoc; and one brother, Orville (Mary) Grotjahn, Alabama.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother-in-law, Walter Hoge.
Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
