McGhee, Hugh (15 JAN 1937 - 19 Jan 2003)

Hugh McGhee, 66, Stetsonville, died on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at his home. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until a 7 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford. The Rev. Bruce Jahnke will officiate. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Hugh McGhee was born on Jan. 15, 1937, in Lorraine, Ohio, to John and Helen (nee Neufer) McGhee. He graduated from Elyria High School. He married Patricia Dussel on Jan. 19, 1957. He farmed and was a tool and dye maker. He owned and operated the Sunset Motel, the aquarium shop and the Sunset Drive-In, Owen. He also served in the National Guard.

Survivors include seven children, Bill (Deb) McGhee, Colby, Susie (Wayne) Kelnhofer, Stratford, Shirley (Randy) Wellman, Colby, Pat (Sandee) McGhee, Edgar, Bonnie (Wayne) Sazama, Colby, Anne (Tyrone) Aschbrenner, Athens, and Dan (Michelle) McGhee, Wausau; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his mother, Helen McGhee, Owen.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Patricia, on May 24, 2002; and his father.

Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
