CURTISS, WIS. - Amanda L. Augustine, 87, formerly of Curtiss, Clark County, Wis., died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at the Christian Homestead in Waupun.
Services for Amanda will be at noon Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Curtiss. Rev. Lauren Ley will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Medford.
Maurina Funeral Home of Abbotsford is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Amanda was born Feb. 3, 1915, in Taylor County, the daughter of Herman and Annie (Weinert) Rehbein. She united in marriage to Walter Steinbach in 1935 and the couple lived in Medford their married life. Walter Steinbach died in 1961.
Amanda then was married to Delmer Augustine in 1976 and they resided in Curtiss. Delmar died in 2001. She then lived in Colby, until moving to Waupun to be near her son. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.
She is survived by her son, Richard (Beneta) Steinbach of Waupun; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; her sister, Hazel Reinhard of Medford; and daughter-in-law, Joan Duncan of Marquette, Mich.
Preceding her in death by two sons, Lee and Gary; a daughter-in-law, Annette Steinbach; four sisters and three brothers.
