VOIGHT, ED AND IDA

Ida Voight was born June 6, 1894 to John and Lillie VandeBerg in York Township. She married Ed Voight on Oct. 31, 1914. Ida was always a worker in the local church being church organist, Sunday school teacher and Sunday School superintendent for years. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Oct. 21, 1964. Ida passed away Oct. 11, 1970 and Ed in 1977. They farmed at York Center just west of the church. They had five children. Mervin Voight married Esther (Quicker) and they lived at Pico Rivera, California. She is deceased and he is retired. Their children are Betty Weitzel of Downey, Calif. and Wayne Voight of Grant's Pass, Ore.

Harvey Voight lives at Round Lake, Ill. and is retired. Lynn, Susan, and Sarah Foxwoy are his children.

June (Haines) Kruger lives in Centerville, So. Dakota. Her children are Connie Lawrence of Sioux Falls, Kay Austin of Centerville, S.D., Tamara Pingrey of Centerville, Tommy Haines of Brookings, S.D., and Crystal Haines of Yankton, S.D. .

Lyle Voight never married. He was a pilot and crop duster. He is buried at York Center.
