Hurlburt, Isabella (3 Nov 1826 - 26 Dec 1916)
Mrs. Isabella Hurlburt died Dec. 26, 1916 at the home of her son William in the town of York, Clark County, Wis., aged ninety years. She was born at Peru, N.Y., Nov. 3, 1826. In 1848 she was married to E. Crossett. To them were born three children, one of whom is still living, Mrs. L. Humiston of Lake Mills, Wis. Mr. Crossett died Jan. 16, 1857. In May 1862 she was married to Dennis Hurlburt. To them three children were born, two of who are living: Mrs. Ella Poate of Taylor, Wis., and Wm. Hurlburt in York. Mr. and Mrs. Hurlburt moved to the farm in York in 1872. In 1903 Mr. Hurlburt died, and the mother continued to live on the farm with the son William until her death.
Until old age came upon her, she was a helpful member of the community. She was a good wife and mother and a kind neighbor.
The funeral was held at the schoolhouse Dec. 28th, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating.
