Lorentzen, Rasmus C. (28 Dec 1844 - 1 Apr 1917)

Rasmus C. Lorentzen was born in Roskilde, Denmark, Dec. 28, 1844. He came to Chicago in the year 1889, lived there until 1893, when he bought a farm near Ringsted, Iowa. In 1902 he sold his farm in Iowa and moved to Withee, Clark County, Wis., where he lived until Dec. 1915, when being In poor health, he came to Neillsville so as to be under the care of his daughter, Mrs. O.C. Andersen.

Mr. Lorentzen passed away Sunday, April 1, 1917, at the age of 72 years. He leaves to mourn his death the widow, Mrs. H. Lorentzen, and his daughter, Mrs. O.C. Andersen of Neillsville, and two sons: Viggo Lorentzen of Withee and A. C. Lorentzen of Stevens Point.

Brief services were held at the Andersen home in Neillsville Tuesday afternoon by Rev. S.B. Pinney. The funeral was held at the Danish Lutheran Church in Withee at two o’clock Wednesday.
