Marden, Charlotte (8 Sep 1846 - 29 Oct 1917)
Mrs. Charlotte Marden, who died suddenly Oct. 29, 1917, was born at La Rue, Marion Co., Ohio, Sept. 8, 1846, and was married to W.H. Marden in Richland Co., Wis., Oct. 18, 1866. They came to Clark County, Wis. forty years ago. Mrs. Marden was a woman who was loved and respected by all who knew her, a kin mother and helpful neighbor. Mr. Marden died four years ago. Of the ten children born to her, two are dead. The surviving children are Mrs. Mary Wood and George and Leslie, Marden of Neillsville; Ira Marden of Bainsville, Mont.; J.E. and Steve of Centralia, Wash.; Mrs. S.V. Andrews of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She leaves also three sisters and one brother: Mrs. Mary Dietzman and Mrs. Wesley Roberts of La Valle; Mrs. Nancy Lane of Platteville and W.J. Williams, of Lime ridge, also 11 grandchildren.
The funeral was held at the home on Thursday, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating.
