Siebert, Clara (1885 - 20 Jan 1918)
Mrs. Wm. Siebert died Sunday, Jan. 20, 1918, after lingering on the border land between life and death for two weeks. On Jan. 3rd, the death of her little girl came as a severe blow. A few days later a baby daughter was born to her. At times hopes for her recovery seemed bright, then she would sink in weakness almost to the point of death.
Deceased, whose maiden name was Clara Wittke, was born in 1885 and grew to womanhood here, being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Wittke, Sr. She was married to Wm. Siebert Feb. 2, 1906, and has lived practically all her life in this community (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.). She was much loved by all who knew her and a large circle of friends mourn her sad death.
She leaves her husband, one son Oscar aged 11, her father and mother, four brothers and two sisters.
The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon at the Lutheran Church, Rev. H. Brandt officiating.
