Luedtke, Henry (28 JAN 1891 - 15 Mar 1918)

Henry Luedtke, a young man of the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, Wis., died at the hospital at Marshfield, March 15, 1918, death resulting from gangrene after an operation for appendicitis.

Henry was born in Jefferson Co. Jan. 28, 1891, and came with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Luedtke, to Clark County in 1901. He grew to manhood there and was a fine, vigorous, intelligent young man. His father died about a year ago, and his brother Ernest being enlisted in Co. A., Henry stayed at home to look after the farm and home. His death is indeed a sad loss to the community. He leaves his widowed mother, a sister Helen and his brother Ernest, who is now at home discharged for injuries in the Army.

The funeral was held at the Lutheran Church Monday, Rev. H. Brandt officiating.
