Montgomery, William B. (5 Jul 1871 - 15 Apr 1918)
William B. Montgomery died suddenly in the early hours of Monday morning, while taking a walk near the North Side store, death resulting from a hemorrhage of the lungs. For a long time he had been a sufferer from consumption and rheumatism. When he could not rest, he walked about, and while out alone the death spell came upon him.
He was born at Galena, Ill., July 5, 1871, came to Neillsville, Clark County, Wis. about 28 years ago and began work in the grist mill. He became an expert miller and followed the business the rest of his life. He was married to Miss Bertha Schoengarth about 25 years ago.
Mr. Montgomery was a genial man of many excellent qualities. Everyone who knew him, could not fail to like him. He was a kind husband and father and by nature a real gentleman.
The funeral took place Wednesday at his son's home, Rev. G.W. Longenecker officiating.
