Dawes, Adelia M. (20 Nov 1850 - 6 May 1918)
Adelia M. Allan was born in Lubec, Maine Nov. 20, 1850 and lived there until she was seventeen, then came to Adams Co., Wis. with her parents; was married to J.P. Dawes at Necedah on May 11, 1872. They lived at Strongs Prairie until Feb. 1873, then came to Clark County, Wis., where they have lived since except about two and one half years that they spent in Orgegon. She died May 6, 1918 at her home in Chili, Clark County, Wis. Funeral services were held from the M.E. Church, then she was taken to Adams Co. and laid to rest in the Spring Creek Cemetery. She leaves a husband and one brother, the only near relatives.
