Dahnert, Dorothy (Marriage - 9 Dec 1916)
Mr. Arnold Wilke of the town of Washburn, Clark County, Wis., and Miss Dorothy Dahnert of the town of Levis, were united in marriage Saturday afternoon, Dec. 9, 1916 at the German Reformed Church, rev. D. Grether officiating. Mr. Ben Dahnert, brother of the bride, acted as groomsman, and Miss Clara Wilke, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. After the ceremony in the evening a reception was given at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dahnert, and a bounteous supper served to the guests.
The groom is the son of Mrs. C. Wilke. He was brought up on the farm and since his father's death has carried on the place. He is a young man of fine character, honest, upright, a good worker and intelligent. The bride is a young lady well fitted to be his companion in homemaking. She is a fine housekeeper and skillful in all the arts of the home. She is besides, a good musician and has a kind and helpful disposition which makes friends for her everywhere. They will make their home on the Wilke farm, the groom having rented it.
We join in offering this young couple our most sincere wishes for happiness and success.
