Montgomery, Nelly M. (Marriage - 15 Mar 1917)

Mr. Orren I. Hickcox and Miss Nelly Mae Montgomery were quietly married Thursday, March 15, 1917, at the Presbyterian Manse in Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., Rev. S. B. Pinney officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Montgomery of this city. She was formerly a successful teacher, teaching several years in Jefferson Co. and two years at Helper, Utah. She then took a training course as a nurse, graduating with high honors from the three years course at St. Mark's Hospital, and later taking a graduate course at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, since which time she has followed the profession in the East and also in this locality. Her efficiency and real helpfulness, have endeared her to all who know her.

The groom was born and brought up at Spring Green, Wis., graduated from a four year course in Agriculture at the State University and has since been engaged in agricultural work along several lines. The past three years he has been engaged as stock manager at Remsen, N.Y. He is a man of good habits and rare intelligence. He has been engaged under a year's contract to take charge as manager on W. Scott Davis' farm at Granton, a home being fitted up on the farm, where they have begun housekeeping.

We join in wishing this worthy couple success and happiness. They are a good acquisition for any community.
